More Than Just a Failure, A short, sad story
« on: February 08, 2014, 11:05:42 pm »
Uncle Kage mentioned a story by Will A. Sanborn called "More Than Just a Failure" on his Winestream tonight. It's very short and very sad.

You can read it here: http://us.vclart.net/vcl/Authors/Will-A.-Sanborn/General/FAILURE.htm

I'm a trans-humanist, which means that I've actually thought of this before. The answer is not to do genetic modification this way, but to build cyborg-like bodies. This brings up a slew of new problems, actually. If you are a cyborg, a robot, do you get basic human rights?

There is a writer on FA who wrote a novel about this topic. I found it very fun to read. Unfortunately, she may have removed it from FA. Thankfully, I was able to find her website! http://taygon.webs.com/books.htm
